Professor Robert Warwick

Professor of X-ray Astronomy in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leicester, UK

My research interests are in the field of high energy astrophysics including the  X-ray properties of our Galaxy and other normal galaxies, the nature of  Active Galactic Nuclei and the origin of the Cosmic X-ray Background Radiation. I have made use of numerous space observatories including Ariel V, Einstein, EXOSAT, IUE, Ginga, ROSAT, ASCA and, most recently, Chandra and XMM-Newton. Some fairly recent results are reported on the Group's web-pages
