opt.2606 - Practical Problems

The Fractals and Chaos course comprises 12 hours of contact time.
4 hours are lectures which introduce the basic concepts and topics in
the syllabus. 8 hours are workshop sessions in which you work
on Practical Problems.
These problems will teach you how to generate fractals and how
to simulate chaotic systems using a computer. You will be required to
complete and modify skeleton programs which are written in C.
You will also be able to compare the behaviour of a real chaotic system
with a computer simulation.
The programs are available on the SPECTRE computer system.
To gain access to SPECTRE you must use
NX.
