This site is based on various books and web sites I have seen on the subject of black holes. I have tried to give it a bit of a personal spin - with an emphasis on high energy astrophysics - but it really wouldn't be possible without the other great sites out there. I have "borrowed" images and animations extensively but I think I've managed to give references to the sources whenever possible. Please let me know if you spot any I have missed. In particular, many images have been borrowed from NASA (see their excellent X-ray Astronomy Field Guide).
