On this page you will find directions to the ceremony (Whitchurch) and the reception venue (Bletchley Park). The car journey from one to the other is about 14 miles. Directions to the Ceremony:

St John the Evangelist, Whitchurch, Bucks. HP22 4JZ

The church is just off Whitchurch High Street. Here is a map showing the location of the church - click here - and another map zoomed in - click here (thanks to multimap.com). 'The Firs' pub have kindly allowed us permission to use their car park (at the end of the main High Street).

By Car

Whitchurch is 14 miles from J14 of the M1, and about 20 miles from J10 of M40.

From the M1. Leave M1 at J13 then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A509 (signposted Milton Keynes). At Northfield Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A4146 (signposted Aylesbury A5). At Fox Milne Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A4146 (signposted Aylesbury, Dunstable). At Monkston Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A4146 (signposted Aylesbury, Dunstable, Bedford, Luton). At Brinklow Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A421 (signposted Central Milton Keynes, Buckingham) Entering Walton. At Kents Hill Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Central Milton Keynes, Buckingham). Continue forward onto Standing Way - A421. Entering Milton Keynes.

At Netherfield Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421. then immediately take the 1st exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham) at Marina Roundabout. At Hospital Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Standing Way - A421. At Coffee Hall Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham). At Bleak Hall Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto H8 Standing Way - A421 (signposted Milton Keynes West, Buckingham). At Elfield Park Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham).

At Emerson Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham). At Windmill Hill Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham). At Tattenhoe Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham). At Bottledump Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham). At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A421 (signposted Buckingham).

At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B4033 (signposted Winslow, Great Horwood). Bear right. Entering Great Horwood, pass church then bear left, at T-junction turn left onto the A413 (signposted Aylesbury). Continue forward onto Buckingham Road - A413. Entering Winslow. At "The George" public house bear left and continue forward onto the A413. Entering Whitchurch. Carry on over mini-roundabout. You are now in Whitchurch.

By Train

The nearest train station is Aylesbury (4 miles). Although if you are also going to the reception, you might be better off going to Bletchley (MK3 6DS; 9 miles) or Milton Keynes Central (MK9 1LA; 11 miles).

By Coach

The nearest coach station is Milton Keynes (Milton Keynes Coach Way, MK10 9AB) which is 13 miles away. Getting to Whitchurch by bus is not simple. You can get the number 66 from Aylesbury-Buckingham, via Whitchurch, which runs every hour. Try the folliwing link for more bus/coach times: Travel Search.

Directions to the Reception

The Mansion, Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes, MK3 6EB

For those who are driving, Bletchley Park have kindly allowed us to park cars in their car park overnight (Saturday) as long as they are collect early Sunday (preferably by 10am).

Bletchley Park is 300 yards walk from Bletchley Railway Station in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (footpath directly opposite the station). It is located just off the B4034, Bletchley to Buckingham road, at the far end of Wilton Avenue which is off Church Green Road. See this map

By Car

Please note: Milton Keynes is divided into grid squares, with roads numbered either as horizontal (H) or vertical (V).

From the North or East (via M1 junct 14) At M1 Jct 14 follow the A509 signposted towards Milton Keynes. At the Northfield roundabout take the 2nd exit onto H6 Childs Way. At the Fox Milne Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the V11 Tongwell Street, and carry on straight across the next roundabout (Monkston). At the Brinklow roundabout turn right onto the H8 Standing Way (signposted to Kents Hill). Follow the H8 across 4 roundabouts, at the 5th (Coffee Hall) turn left on to the V7 (B4034) Saxon St. Continue across the first roundabout, at the 2nd Denbigh (has large B&Q on the right) take the 2nd exit towards central Bletchley. You will quickly come to a small double roundabout, continue straight across towards central Bletchley keeping the Tesco's store on your left hand side. You will now be on a dual carriageway.

Continue along this road and you will come to another larger roundabout, continue straight across (Enigma Tavern to your left). At the next roundabout turn right (signposted to the railway station) and you will go under a railway bridge, continue up to the next set of double roundabouts, go straight over. After approximately 200 yards take the 1st turning on the right, next to the Eight Belles pub. After approximately 300 yards you will take the 1st turning on the right into Wilton Ave (signposted to Bletchley Park). The Park is at the very end of this road.

From the West (via A421) From the A421 at the Tattenhoe roundabout follow the B4034 into Bletchley. You will go straight across a small roundabout continuing into Bletchley. You will see the Eight Belles pub on the left hand side and you need to take the left turning next to the pub. After approximately 300 yrds you will take the 1st turning on the right into Wilton Ave (signposted to Bletchley Park). The Park is at the very end of this road.
From the South (via M1 junct 13) At M1 Jct 13 follow the A421 signposted for Milton Keynes. At the 1st roundabout (Kingston) take the 3rd exit on to H8 Standing Way. Follow the H8 across 5 roundabouts, at the 6th (Coffee Hall) turn left on to the V7 Saxon St. Continue across the first roundabout, at the 2nd Denbigh (has large B&Q on the right) take the 2nd exit towards central Bletchley. You will quickly come to a small double roundabout, contine straight across towards central Bletchley keeping the Tesco's store on your left hand side. You will now be on a dual carriageway.

From the South (via A5) From the A5 junction with the A4146, take the exit signposted to Bletchley/Fenny Stratford. You will come to a double roundabout, go straight across. At the two small roundabouts also go straight across. At the next roundabout with Tesco on your left, turn left onto dual carriageway.

Continue along this road and you will come to another larger roundabout, continue straight across (Enigma Tavern to your left). At the next roundabout turn right (signposted to the railway station) and you will go under a railway bridge, continue up to the next set of double roundabouts, go straight over. By Train

Fast efficient service to Bletchley Railway Station from:

London Euston, Milton Keynes Central (for InterCity connections), Coventry and Birmingham New Street. Bedford Midland (except Sunday) for connections to London Thames Link, East Midlands and South Yorkshire. For more information, including train times visit the Railtrack web site.

By Bus/Coach

There are buses and coaches from all parts of Milton Keynes and beyond, arriving at Bletchley Bus Station. These include the MK Metro services 4/4A (which runs Stony Stratford - Milton Keynes - Bletchley every 20 mins on Saturday) or the 5/5A/5E (which runs Hartwell - Stony Stratford - Milton Keynes - Bletchley every 20 mins). On leaving the Bus Station head towards the Railway Station and take the footpath to Bletchley Park, opposite the station entrance.
